Job Description - PCN Level II RT Technician (R1/L6)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFi): Applicable to film interpretation of radiographs, evaluation of the radiographic Method, and overall evaluation of radiographic film to applicable codes and standards acceptance criteria.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • The NDT Level II Technician should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the Methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
  • The NDT Level II shall be able to organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
  • Actively pursue continuing technical education courses or seminars.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • PCN NDT Level II certification in: RT,RTFI,MT,PT
  • Singapore R1/L6 Licence 
  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.

Job Requirements:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of inspection related experience.
  • Preferred: 2 years of inspection related experience with a completion of 2 years of college in technical or engineering related discipline from a university, college, or technical school.
  • Must be qualified and certified in Radiographic examination; one or more additional certifications in the following  NDT Methods would be highly desirable:
  • Capable of writing Technical Test Report
  • Able to work independently

Job Description - Multi NDT Technician ( PCN Level II ) 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspection, dimensional inspection of components using various type of measuring instruments
  • Carried out NDT works in related specialization and expertise in accordance with the approved procedures and in compliance with referencing Codes/Standards
  • Prepare report of Inspection findings and ensure results are conforming with Standards or Specification prior submittal to Client
  • Provide assistance to Site Coordinator/Supervisor as required

Job Requirements:

  • Holding a Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years  work experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and minimum 3 years experience in NDT & Welding Inspection
  • Holding PCN Level II in UT inspection is mandatory
  • Holding PCN Level II in MPT, DPT, RT, etc. is preferred
  • Capable of writing Technical Test Report
  • Able to work independently

Job Description - NDT Level III ( ASNT/PCN )

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and qualification of NDT procedures and personnel.
  • Establishing NDT techniques, interpreting codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and designating NDT methods and techniques to be used.
  • Provide over site of NDT contractor services.
  • Coordination with project management to ensure that code, contract, and regulatory requirements are properly translated into process control documents.
  • Review contracts to ensure Clients compliance capabilities.
  • Documents and tracks the status of Clients qualification and certification personnel.
  • General support of projects and liaison with engineering, quality assurance, production, and customer, as needed.
  • Assist in all administrative duties to support the department
  • Maintain proper filing system
  • Handle calls from customers
  • Any other duties from time to time

Job Requirements:

  • Individual must possess ASNT/PCN Level III certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle, Visual Testing, Radiographic Testing and Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Capable of developing, qualifying, and approving NDT procedures, establishing and approving techniques, interpreting codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and designating NDT methods, techniques, methods, and procedures to be used.
  • Must possess a technical background and technical writing skills with ISO related Quality Audit Experience.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years in the Marine / Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Working knowledge of the ASME Section I, III, V, VIII, IX, XI and B31.x codes.
  • Practical background in metal fabrication and products.
  • Must be knowledgeable of 10CFR Part 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, SNT-TC-1A and CP-189.
  • Must have the ability to translate code and customer requirements into procedural/process documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels management.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear plant design, and engineering requirements, fabrication and related quality activities.
  • Experience in using software tools and applications developed in MS Excel and Access (advanced development skills preferred).
  • QA documentation experience is a plus.
